This weekend the automobile team K plus K motorsport participated in the third race of this years serial FIA GT Championship, which took place on the circuit in German Oschersleben. After the technical problems, which haunted the team during the last event in Adria, the motor of the car Saleen S7 of Adam Lacko, whose partner is Mario Dominquez, was replaced, it was completely tuned and hastily delivered from the USA.

The team entered the two-hours race with big expectations. That originated from both the first free training where the cars of K plus K motorsport finished on the second and third place as well as from the results of the qualification itself. The hopes for a gain of higher number of points were also supported by the positions of the drivers on the start: Karl Wendlinger started from the first row and Mario Dominguez from the fifth place. Unfortunately after the start there was a major collision between Karl Wendlinger and one of the Corvettes driven by Hezemans, the later winner. Karl fell a few positions backwards and had to work on cutting the loss short. Meanwhile Dominquez worked up to the second place. Unfortunately some minor defects appeared and they led into the gas string getting stuck and the Mexican driver ended outside the lane. Wendlinger fought bravely and in the rain he worked up to the third place. During the pouring rain a paradox defect happened when the string operating the movement of windshields wipers and the visibility from the car was minimal. Despite of using the newest chemical preparations it was not possible to continue in the race in such strong rain.

"It's pity that our team didn't get any point from such well started weekend. Now there is the preparation for Spa in front of us. On the traditional twenty-four-hour race, which is taking place on the 25th and 26th of July we would like to return to the fight for the front positions." The owner of the team K plus K motorsport Karel Kubů said after the unlucky race in Germany.
