Hard fights in Nogaro brought us two fourth place finishes
(19.06.2011)Having been so close, twice we didn´t reach the podium during the first day of the fourth stop of the European Truck Racing Championship at the Nogaro circuit in France. In a very close timed practice for the starting positions in the main race, tenths of seconds were decisive.
Jochen Hahn maintained his good run of form by taking pole position and the victory in the main race again. Following Hahn was his fellow German Uwe Nittle with the reigning champion Antonio Albacete third, whose position was closely fought by our young driver Adam Lacko who finally finished fourth. Markus‘ Oestreich and Bosiger claimed the points for the seventh and eighth positions respectively, this would see them both start from the front row of the grid in the second race of the day. The opening lap of race two saw them lose these positions after a collision at the start. Bosiger was able to maintain a good position at the front of the field after being overtaken by Vršecký, Albacete and Hahn, positions they would hold to the finish in that order. Adam Lacko held onto the fifth place he started the race in while Markus Oestreich, despite some technical problems, finished the race gaining valuable points in the team championship.
